Hyperomet: An OpenSees interface for nonlinear analysis of unreinforced masonry buildings

Abstract Seismic vulnerability assessment of historical unreinforced masonry (URM) buildings is crucial for the authorities due to high susceptibility URM earthquakes. Open system earthquake engineering simulation (OpenSees) a well-known, powerful, and versatile seismic analysis platform. In lack free graphical user interface (GUI) buildings, Hyperomet was designed bridge gap between nonlinear OpenSees The GUI includes an accurate enough macroelement representing behavior components. structures can be modeled based on double-modified multiple vertical line element model (DM-MVLEM) Unified method (UM) using GUI. Calculators deriving mechanical properties are provided minimize modeling time. Furthermore, ability perform various types including incremental dynamic (IDA) facilitated.
